Updates on Digital Career Path & Deconstructing Fashion!

The LAMP was thrilled this month when the Digital Career Path program was highlighted in the Greenpoint Gazette. Run in partnership with OBT (Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow), highlighted the program’s Earn While You Learn model and the need for digital skills in a modern workforce. We also just posted some new photos from the Deconstructing Fashion program we’re running in partnership with the New York Public Library. This free after-school program teaches young people how to break down messages in fashion including how we perceive beauty and health, how fashion trends emerge and more. It all culminates in a month-long multimedia exhibition at the Bronx Library Center celebrating the projects created by participants! Whether you’re new to webmaking and video or a seasoned teen media-maker, Deconstructing Fashion is a great way for you to learn new skills, hone existing ones and dive deeper into the exciting world of fashion. Jump in this week by attending tomorrow’s session at Inwood Library, or check out the program on Thursday at the Bronx Library Center! Visit The LAMP’s program calendar for details.
